Happy summer!
Can you believe it's only the first day of summer? Actually, it feels like New York has been deep in summer heat for weeks now!
It's tough to stay in class or in the office on a beautiful day like today. But my girly readers will agree with me on this one: Being able to rock those cute sandals you bought last week does help just a tiny little bit :)
El fourth isn't too far off, either—I hope you're planning something fun for fireworks day!

Yeah, I just looked at my wall calendar and realized that it said "Summer Begins" above it. Hopefully we'll all find time to balance in the great weather.
While I can't bond over sandals (I'm wearing Chinese chancletas from the 99 cent store), I definately agree with the idea that at the end of these sacrifices, you have your own hard-earned money with which to enjoy yourself.
Ugh, I hate summer. I'd probably like it more if we had A/C, but our house is old and we haven't saved up enough for it yet. It's probably sweltering in New York, although practically everyplace is air conditioned, yes?
